It has driven us to innovate and collaborate to protect the environment, support local communities and make a positive contribution to society – all with the goal of supporting delivery of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
As a responsible and progressive organisation, we pursue an increasingly holistic approach to sustainability, focusing on the entire value chain From Barley to Bar. As we are moving into a decade in which the world must face even more complex challenges. We know we can only thrive if the planet and our communities thrive. Our BaBW 2030 ambitions are woven into the fabric of our balanced growth strategy, putting environmental, socialsustainability and responsibility as our key focus areas as we write our next growth chapter.
Our ambitions and targets for this new chapter are in line with the benchmarks set by the UN Global Compact and we are determined to contribute to the UN SDGs to protect the planet, ensure prosperity and end poverty for all.
At HEINEKEN Malaysia, social sustainability is one of our key ESG pillars as part of our Brew A Better World sustainability commitments. Under this pillar, we are committed to delivering a positive social impact for our local communities.
Since 1994, through our Tiger Chinese Education Charity Concert, we have helped raise over RM380 million for schools in Malaysia.

HEINEKEN Cares is a social impact programme by Heineken Malaysia Berhad reaching out with a helping hand to support communities in need. The programme was launched in 2021 with the aim of extending food aid to local communities that were negatively impacted by COVID-19. In 2022, we continued to carry out the HEINEKEN Cares Programme to assist communities still struggling to manage the impacts of the pandemic.
Growing with communities is an important part of HEINEKEN Malaysia’s commitment to social sustainability. As a responsible and progressive corporate citizen, we want to help our communities with their essential needs during the challenging period.
